Gulf Cove Fishing Club
 
The Gulf Cove Community Fishing Club is comprised of experienced men and women as well as novice fishing enthusiast whose goal is to have fun fishing, socializing, and exchanging information on their favorite sport.  They meet on the first Tuesday of each month from October through May at 7:30 pm at the Hope Lutheran Church on Hopewell Ave, in Gulf Cove.  For a meager $10.00 annual membership fee you too can join in on all the fun which includes, a monthly fish fry and picnic at the pavillion in the Gulf Cove Park, and a monthly fishing tournament.

Myakka West Homemakers' Club
 
This club promotes education, health and social activities.  Proceeds from their activities are donated to various area charities.  A Fashion Show/Luncheon is held every year and the highlight of the year is The Annual Tea held on the second Monday in February.  Monthly meetings include speakers and a light lunch.  Book swaps and teacup auctions are also special features of the meetings.  They meet on the second Monday of each month, except July and August, at 10:00 am at the Hope lutheran Church on Hopewell Ave. in Gulf Cove.  The annual membership is $20.00.  All women in the Myakka River area are welcome.

Myakka River Red Hatters
 
The Myakka River Red Hatters of Gulf Cove enjoys fun for women over 50 from all walks of life.  They believe silliness is the comedy of life and we are all in life together.  They get together monthly, wear Red Hats and Purple Attire and go for the gusto together and enjoy going out for lunch and shopping.  They all share a bond of affection forged by common life experiences and a genuine enthusiam for where lfe takes them next.  They meet once a month and have lunch at a different restaurant each month.  Check the calendar for times and places.

Myakka Boat Club
 
Our Community Boat Club offers a learning experience on items such as chart reading, navigation rules, how to navigate our shallow waters, winds, tides, GPS, boat safety, and boat maintenance.  We try to have monthly events such as raft ups, cruises, picnics, poker runs, and any other boating activities that the boating group might enjoy doing together.  There is no cost to join.
